Job Qualifications :
- Preferably experience in basic design of Tank and Piping :
For Tank, calculate the cutting plan to design Tank.
For Piping, calculate estimation based on dia. Inch. - Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, with at least 10 years of working experience in project, engineering and construction company
- Preferably experience in EPC project of pulp & paper mills, power plant, chemical plant
- Able to use design tools such as CAD 3D, PDMS, NAVIS, PV ELITE
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of local and international standards /codes such as ASTM, ASME, EN, ISO, SNI, NFPA, FM 200 codes
- Good command of written and spoken English

Responsibilities :
- Responsible for Piping engineering/design, preparing tendering document, technical bid evaluation, construction supervision, testing/commissioning till handover of completed project.
- Develop design criteria of mechanical piping for industrial / process production building including its interconnection with static, tank/vessel, rotating equipment, cooling equipment, exchange, conveying, vacuum system, ducting etc
- Prepare dimensioning of piping based on calculation of temperature, pressure, flow rate, stress factor, media to design good system according to global standard and operation by using proven engineering tool and method.
- Review, approve and issue basic/detail/construction design/drawings, welding procedure of related piping
- Review flow sheet/PID and related specification for utilities requirement to define required process piping arrangement, specification, support, valve, instruments and its accessories.
- Select proper piping material specification according to approved design criteria to meet local & global standards and APP Standards/SOP/Requirements.
- Prepare tender document and follow up procurement activities, technical bid evaluation, delivery equipment to project site, monitor/supervise construction, testing and commissioning.
- Review and approve contractor piping construction method, piping construction drawing and as built drawing.
- Review piping general lay out and provide input to make sure all piping arrangement as per PID. All required information is available for construction and operation and clearly stated in document/drawing (e.g. level, position, support, safety, access, coordinate, in line equipment or instrument etc.) Inter disciplinary coordination with civil, electrical and instrument/automation, hvac, fire protection, and process to define final lay out/equipment and piping general arrangement.
- To apply knowledge of fire protection system to make sure purchased piping specification and its construction meet local and international applicable standards of fire protection.
- Provide guide line for piping installation and testing. To review and approve contractor quality plan regard to welding and construction/ installation and testing. To define PT, RT, Ultrasonic and magnetic particle test requirement to ensure work is done in time and excellent quality.
- To update available piping engineering standard to meet international benchmark.
- Prepare piping list, bill of material for project costing, to assign unit rate/cost in reference with available benchmark.
- Provide scope of work and responsibility matrix for piping and inline instrument/equipment installation tendering and technical bid evaluation including proposal review for manning, quality procedure, equipment loading, schedule, tools, construction methodology, etc.
- Provide supervision during project execution, close coordination with project manager, discipline manager, end user and contractors. Able to travel
- Verify site instruction, design change request, completed works issued by contractor.
- Monitor construction work to achieve delivery schedule, provide solution and trouble shooting during execution and commissioning.
- Provide and develop guidelines for testing & commissioning of installed equipment.
- Coordination with related vendor/contractor to make sure no issue left unsolved during project execution, to make sure smooth hand over to end user.
- Able to do piping stress analysis according to available piping design and safety code with proven method and software
- Lead 3D engineering review and coordinate with related discipline and engineering consultant
