Job description
We are a British owned company who manufacture (mainly) toys in Asia. We are looking for someone who is based in Southeast Asia with a strong background in textile production and a proven track record of success in managing production operations.
As a Global Production Director, you will have a broad range of responsibilities. One of your main duties will be to develop and implement the production strategy, aligning it with the company’s overall goals and objectives. You will also be responsible for managing and optimizing the production budget, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently to meet production targets. Additionally, you will lead a team of production supervisors and operators, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety protocols.
Job Title: Production Director
Location: Southeast Asia (With Frequent Travel)
Reporting To: Head of Production, UK
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the production strategy to meet company objectives
- Manage and optimize the production budget
- Lead and supervise a team of production supervisors and operators
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production processes
- Identify areas of improvement and implement process enhancements
- Select and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Oversee vendor relationships, ensuring quality, compliance, and on-time delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline production planning
- Monitor and ensure product quality and safety regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in textiles, engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience in managing production operations within the textile industry
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to textile production
- Willingness to travel frequently to production sites.
