OATSIDE is looking for a Product & Process Technologist to support our R&D Manager in planning, developing, and executing research & development functions. This role focuses on ensuring smooth product scale-up, optimizing production processes, and maintaining technical documentation while working closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Scale-Up & Process Optimization
- Support the transition of products from lab-scale to full-scale production, ensuring process feasibility and consistency.
- Assist in optimizing formulations and manufacturing processes, troubleshooting processing challenges.
2. Product Testing & Validation
- Conduct stability, sensory, and feasibility studies to validate formulations and process parameters.
- Perform process validation and trials to ensure scalability and efficiency of formulations.
3. Manufacturing & Troubleshooting
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to identify and resolve process-related issues, ensuring smooth production runs.
- Work with QA, production, and supply chain teams to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
4. Data Analysis & Reporting
- Maintain and update technical documentation, including product specifications, process parameters, and trial reports.
- Provide data analysis and insights on product performance, process improvements, and troubleshooting findings.
5. Industry Trends & Innovation
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging processing technologies to drive innovation and efficiency improvements.
Education & Experience:
- Degree in Science, Food Science, Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- 4 – 7 years of experience in a factory environment, process scale-up, or manufacturing support within the dairy or plant-based beverage industry.
- Experience in product development is a plus.
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of beverage, plant-based milk, or dairy processing.
- Understanding of process scale-up and factory requirements.
- Familiarity with packaging materials and transport testing is a plus.
