Role Description:
The Finance Manager will be based in Majalengka, Indonesia, and report directly to the Financial Controller in Indonesia. He/she will primarily assist the Head of Finance in managing the financial operations of the various business units in Indonesia, particularly in the areas of financial and tax reporting, as well as internal contols. He/she will plan and direct accounting activities within the Indonesia Finance department by performing the following duties, personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting, and/or payroll.
- Supervise and participate in the preparation of full set of financial statements in accordance with Indonesian accounting standards, and as per the company’s reporting timelines.
- Person in charge of the Preparation of management accounts for discussion with management on a monthly basis. The management accounts should contain sufficient analysis on commentary to facilitate a meaningful discussion, with added focus on COGS items.
- Liaise with tax authorities for all tax related audits and reporting.
- Support implementation of ERP system for accounting and/or payroll.
- Organize the maintenance of accounting records, including general and subsidiary ledgers, inventory, fixed assets, operating expenses, and insurance records, in a manner to facilitate all audits (tax, internal, customs, client).
- Establish system controls for financial systems and develop procedures to improve existing systems.
Specifications/Requirements (Education, Experience, Skills):
- 5 to 10 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience, with proven working experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Degree or diploma from recognized tertiary institution in Accounting, and preferably with Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations.
- Experience in a manufacturing industry dealing with costing and valuation of COGS a must.
- Experience in the garment industry preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
- Team oriented player with strong work ethics.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and ERP implementation experience.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
