Job Description:
- Leading fire prevention before getting assist from authorized instance.
- Arrangement work program and activities of fire prevention
- Propose the budget, facilities and fire prevention facilities to management
- Take command of fire scene and rescue operations responds to alarms to extinguish fires and protects life and property drives department vehicles to the scene of emergencies lays fire hoses and directs streams of water/chemical into fire positions and climbs ladders to gain access to burning buildings ventilates burning buildings
- Monitor fire fighting system every time and respond immediately fire alarms, fires, emergency rescue situations, and other.
- Oversee and take responsibility for the training of personnel in firefighting and rescue methods and use of equipment. And also continuing education and in-service training on subjects related to fire fighting, rescue and life support to CPS employees including sub-contractors if needed
- Identify and equip to perform immediate rescue of personnel operating within the Hazard Area, confined space rescues, high rise fires, hazardous materials, etc.
- Observe and record building fire drills and conducts fire extinguisher and alarm inspections. Records building fire inspection results and offers recommendations for improvement areas as required.
- Communicates and make report to Maintenance Director, Safety Engineer or Shift Leader during fire or emergency situation.
- Supervise and manage assigned fire fighting personnel, programs, committees, and preparation & management of budget.
- Prepare and plan fire drills for emergency response and preparedness, demonstrations related fire fighting techniques.
- Prepare records and reports manages supply and equipment inventories.
- Patrol burned areas after fires to locate and eliminate hot spots that may restart fires.
- Operate, maintenance and warming up of fire truck and others fire equipment
- Participate to implement the policy of quality, safety & health and environment
EQUIPMENT TO BE COVERED
- Fire Fighting Facility
- Fire pump and piping system
- All accessories of fire fighting facility (APAR and Fire Hydrant)
- Emergency response and evacuation System and drill
- Fire fighting drill and training
Requirements :
- Holding minimum Senior Technical High School (STM) majoring in any Engineering graduated from accredited school – having one years more working experiences in the power plant as Fire Commander or Fresh Graduate are welcome.
- Has follow technical fire prevention basic level I, basic level II and Health & Safety Primary level expert course.
- Duties require knowledge of fire science and emergency response functions equivalent to completion of an Associate’s degree.
- Knowledge of the principles, practices, procedures, equipment, and apparatus used in modern fire fighting and emergency and rescue operations and in the protection of life and property from fire.
- Ability to remain alert during extended working hours.
