Job Brief
Key Account Manager works with a company’s biggest or most important customers to build long-term, strategic partnerships. This role requires a range of skills from closing sales and nurturing relationships to strategic planning and cross-functional leadership.
The KAM responsibilities include growing the company’s revenue by ensuring that key customers are satisfied with the services provided, identifying new business opportunities for key customers, and attending all meetings, conventions and training workshops.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Developing and sustaining solid relationships with key customers that bring in the most income for the company.
- Addressing and resolving key customers’ complaints.
- Acting as the main point of contact between key customers and internal teams.
- Supervising the account teams assigned to each key customer.
- Compiling reports on account progress, goals, and forecasts for account teams and stakeholders.
- Developing a thorough understanding of key customer’s needs and requirements and preparing customized solutions.
- Negotiating contracts with key customers and meeting established deadlines for the fulfillment of each customer’s long-term goals.
- Develop trust relationships with a portfolio of major customers to ensure they do not turn to competition.
- Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements. 
- Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives
- Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner.
- Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust.
- Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships. 
- Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor/master’s degree in business administration, finance, marketing, or related field.
- Min. 10 years proven experience as Key Account Manager or Key Account Executive.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications as well as CRM software.
- The ability to build rapport with key customers.
- The ability to handle multiple customers accounts.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Experience in sales and providing solutions based on customer needs.
- Strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability in problem-solving and negotiation.
- High integrity, honest, credible.
