Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections of water distribution pipelines and infrastructure.
- Repair leaks, replace faulty pipes, and maintain valves, hydrants, and meters.
- Monitor system performance to detect and resolve issues promptly.
- Respond to emergency situations, including main breaks and service disruptions.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians on system upgrades and projects.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory usage.
Qualifications:
- Minimum education is D3 or Bachelor of Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 experience in water distribution system maintenance.
- Knowledge of water distribution systems, plumbing, and pipe fitting.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
