Second-level maintenance is a professional maintenance task that involves repairs, replacements, and fine-tuning. This work is typically performed by technicians or operators who have received specific training and have in-depth knowledge of the machines.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform remote diagnostics to isolate the problem
- Try to fix the problem remotely
- Visit customer locations to fix problems
- Replace or repair damaged product components
- Replaces standard exchanges, such as fuses, belts, and air filters
- Providing spare parts or tools needed for repairs or development
- Carrying out implementation on machines related to hardware or software changes
- Preventive maintenance: Regular maintenance to detect and minimize potential machine damage. This can include standard exchange replacements of belts, fuses, and air filters.
- Corrective maintenance: Repairing machine damage, including replacing parts if necessary.
- Implementation: Implementing changes to the machine’s hardware or software.
- Second-level maintenance can also be performed off-equipment, such as on removed parts or components, at a designated maintenance center or shop.
Requirements:
- A high school degree or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Working knowledge of mechanical engineering and maintenance
- Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools
- On-the-job training
- Associate’s degree program with courses in mechanical and electrical repair, computer security, and operating system installation
- You can also take online training courses to learn about ATM maintenance and repair. Some topics covered in these courses include: Customer service representative, Security training, ATM balancing clerk, ATM custodian, and ATM field controller.
- Proven experience as an IT Support Analyst, Helpdesk Technician, or similar role.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in hardware, software, and network systems.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Experience with IT support tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
