Highfield Secondary School Bekasi, is currently seeking for professional teachers for Academic Year 2025-2026 to fill in the following position:
SOCIOLOGY TEACHER
FOR
SECONDARY LEVEL
Responsibilities:
- Teaching Sociology and/or Humanities Subjects in class for secondary students
- Organising the classroom and learning resources, ensuring the students feel motivated and engaged.
- Preparing, marking and providing assessments to facilitate positive students’ development and academic achievement.
- Documenting, providing feedback and reporting student’s progress to the school, parents and other school stakeholders.
- Preparing students to face the IGCSE and/or A-Level test.
- Act as a role model by making the students feel supported and maintaining an approachable personality as a teacher build relationships and nurture students aligned with the school’s values and the school’s code of conduct.
- Attend and participate the school events to better understand student interest and personalities outside of the regular classroom, build strong relationships with the students and aid in the strengthening of their self-confidence while inspiring them to achieve high goals.
- Performs student supervision responsibilities as assigned support the implementation of school-wide expectations as determined by School Leaders/Managements.
Qualifications:
- Minimal Bachelor Degree (S1) from a reputable university with a relevant background (majoring in Sociology, Anthropology or related)
- Experienced in International curriculum (Cambridge/IB) will be an advantage.
- Have good communication skill
- Computer literate (MS Office, Google Suites)
- Open minded and creative
- Love education and passionate in teaching secondary students
- Able to work in a team or independently
- Able to manage classroom
